How Grateful We Are

I had a deep conversation with my  husband-to-be yesterday. We are just feeling grateful for what we have. While the others need luxury stuffs, glam lifestyle, new Handphone every year, etc in terms of being accepted by their surroundings. Why? Because their friends are like that. We don't need to do that. I call it:

                             "We are happy just as we are"  - me

When you keep looking up all the time, you'll fall easily. Look down then you'll learn how to be grateful. Once in a month my soon-to-be mom in law, the team from her church, and I go to Pondok Bambu Prison. We serve the prisoners, praise and worship God, give sermons, etc. We encourage them to know God more. I can see that how grateful we are outside the jail. We can go to work, take a course, have a relationship, go shopping, while they can't. They have no freedom to do what they want to do. Everything they do will be watched by the guard.

We are also grateful because we have great parents. For me, I have 1 super mom. She is the most hard working mom I've ever seen. She goes out everyday, looking for any opportunities to expand our business. And my dad? He is also a super dad. Until now, he still gets me breakfast. When I have to get up so early in the morning, he will go outside, and buy me some breakfast. He will make sure that I get enough food for the day.

For him, he has a super mom who'll always behind his back. He has a bad past, having a quarrel with his teacher a lot, failed in his high school. But his mom will never leave his side. Now, he is a great person. Just like his name: Great Leader. He is so creative, smart, good sense of leadership, and love his family. His dad also will do anything when he is sick or getting hurt.

We are so grateful that we have each other's back. He always supports me, gets mad if I do stupid things. But we share this similarity: we are a simple person and we are a fighter. We've been through so many obstacles in our life, but we can manage to deal with it. Thanks to God that always shows us the way whenever we need it. and never be late.
